Michael and I both love to travel and so when we retired early in 2014 we stored everything we couldn’t part with (art and prized possessions), sold most everything else (including our house), packed a trailer and hit the road. The plan was to travel for the next 3 to 10 years.
We’ve rented fully furnished houses, in places we’ve always wanted to visit, living there for 3 months and then moved onto the next place. Other than traveling to Grenada, West Indies, each year where we have property and strong roots, we plan to travel in the United States and internationally.
We purchased a house in Grenada in August 2015 so we went back to Jacksonville, Florida sorted through our storage contents and filled a container and sent it to Grenada. We also purchased furniture, housewares, etc. Selection of goods is pretty limited in Grenada and is often expensive so most everything we needed came from storage or was purchased and shipped via an ocean container. We plan to continue traveling from our Grenada home for part of each year
Please join us as we chronicle our adventures about living in Grenada and our ongoing travels.
